Gonia (gr. Cornerstone)

“So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. Together, we are his house.... And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself”. Eph 2:19,20

Cornerstone refers to the first and most important stone laid in a new building. Proper placement of a cornerstone ensured a straight and level foundation. Applied to Christ, this metaphor shows Christ’s central role in our Christian lives. (Gonia = Cornerstone in Greek)

Ministry Description

After years of discipleship ministry in Mexico, God has called us to continue south to the people of Central America.  God has provided an opportunity for us to start a discipleship program in Granada, Nicaragua, Our discipleship program will provide an opportunity for men to live a life free of drugs, alcohol and uselessness by helping them find purpose for their life through biblical discipleship.

During the 9 month program, the men participate daily in devotionals, worship, prayer, work detail, and evening bible studies.
We invite you to partner with us through prayer and/or financial support.  Together we can fulfill God’s commandment and His heart for us to “go and make disciples ….teaching them to observe all that I have commanded them"

“proclaim good news to the poor...bind up the brokenhearted... proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness” Isa 61:1

 Reaching out to the Lost

Our calling is to go to the people, help them understand their need for salvation through the teaching of the bible, and help them grow into a personal relationship with the Lord as they recognize that discipleship is a way of life.  (John 3:16 / Rom 15:20)

Discipling them

Helping the new believer grow in their knowledge and faith through daily bible studies, service and one on one discipleship, resulting in mature believers.         (2 Tim 2:1,2)

Equipping them for Christian Service

To train and equip Christian men for the ministry.  (Eph 4:11,12)
